At this point, why would a defensive player pull up on a hit at all? If you're going to be ejected, make it count. He shouldn't have been ejected. It's hard to stop that much mass, especially when someone stands still in front of you, like they are taking a charge in basketball.
That was a targeting call no one wanted to see enforced. Really just a though situation. He’s to good a player not to take advantage of this and bounce back. He’ll be fine.

The refs knew it was wrong and replay should have the authority to stop this $#|+ !!! It’s getting very old and out of hand. Refs should not ever determine the oIt come of ANY game in any sport.

The big man was telling everyone on the sideline that he was planning on going to the Popeyes near the stadium after the game (for a spicy 3 piece combo and a Sprite), but had just been informed that that location had closed their doors a just a few days ago. Sad.

It's a shame, and something needs to be OVERHAULED when refs are commonly even expectedly notorious for calls so bad, a 3 year old can see it.
